hi

Your story, your vision, your mission and your why will resonate with certain people. You have a solution to a problem that unique individuals have. The more you can clearly define who they are, the more you can confidently build trust, build community and market directly to the right clients for you- your ideal clients. Why you do what you do, plus what you actually do will help you determine who you want to do it for. Your ideal client is simply the type of person you most desire to work with. The more clearly you can define this person, the more you will be able to hone your entire brand to connecting to them. Knowing who you want to serve will help you in determining who who is not a good fit for you.

At the end, there is an in depth client paragraph I will teach you how to write. I want this to be raw, not refined, so just have fun!

Lovie

also,

So, maybe you’ve been trying to grow your brand but you’ve gotten stuck wondering “Who in the world is my ideal client?” Maybe you’ve booked clients but something about the interaction just didn’t feel right. You served them, went above and beyond but something about their personality just didn’t click with yours and you aren’t sure what. Maybe you’ve struggled clearly defining who is a good fit for you - but maybe you’re like me and you hoped that with enough excellence of service no matter who you booked, it would all just work out. Maybe you booked a few clients who were not a good fit but you were so scared NOT to take the job and the income. Does this sound like you? I totally understand what that is like. Not to long ago, my brand grew faster than my clarity for who was my ideal client and I found myself right in the middle of wanting to quit my entire brand completely all because I booked a few clients that just weren’t the right fit for me. I did everything I could to make them happy and succeeded at that, but in the end, I felt completely drained, cried in my car, and wanted to quit my entire business. FAIL BLOG. That’s not the end I had in mind when I booked those jobs. Having a clearly defined ideal client protects us from booking jobs that aren’t a good fit for us. Imagine working with 5 clients that drain you while also working for 3 that energize you. How likely are you to show up at your best with your 3 dream clients while feeling frustrated, drained and discouraged while working with the others? Not likely. Booking clients who are not a good fit for us will actually negatively impact our entire brand because we won’t work at our best while dealing with draining clients. By knowing who we want to work with, we will protect our time, space and reserve it for VIPS. When we work with the right people, we will feel energized, excited, and fulfilled knowing that our unique gifts can love and support a specific client in ways only we can. Knowing who our ideal clients are will help us communicate more clearly to the right client in our brand messaging. This kind of clarity helps keep us from booking clients that will leave us feeling drained and frustrated. Knowing who is the best fit for us will help our brand flourish! I’ve learned so much over the past 8 years helping other babes clearly define their dream clients. Here are my simple and effective ideal client questions that will give you the clarity you need to define your ideal client so you can grow your brand! Much love!

For this next step, I will need for you to write me a story about ideal client. Write about who she is and how she makes her choices. Is she loud, quiet, relational, a creative, a home body, extroverted etc. It does not need to be perfect, written beautifully or profound. I just need it be raw, right from your heart, about the heart you are wanting to impact.

Don't think just write. Really try and step into your ideal clients world. What does she see everyday in her life? What experience does she have? It may help to picture one of your past clients but don't over think it, and don't over edit. :D

(Plan on writing at least 250 words or more.)

DOn'T OVER THINK

SIDE NOTE: It may help you to go find a picture of someone who represents this girl. This is an extra step though not required, it may help you speak about her more fully. AND if you want to send me the photo, go for it ;)

(Plan on writing at least 250 words or more.)

DOn'T OVER THINK

01.

This might feel silly but trust me on this one: imagine her world and explain it. What does she touch, feel experience in her everyday life. What quirks does she have? What problems does she have? What does she struggle with?

(Plan on writing at least 250 words or more.)

eNGAGE YOUR IMAGINATION

02.

What are her dreams for her life? Who does she want to experience them with? How does she feel about her job? How does she want to change the world? These are just some ideas to spring from. Write out the story you want to tell about her.

(What are her dreams? Talk about them!.)

DREAM OUTLOUD

03.

You may write it here or create a word document on your computer. It may also help to start a note on your phone and add to it as you consider her through out your day. This exercise will help me tremendously but it should also help you step into her world. Once you are done, sent it to me below.

(Write, walk, repeat. Think, consider & collect your thoughts about who she is.)
